With International Women’s Day fresh in our minds, we’ve been reflecting on the incredible women who have helped shape Cocoon&me over nearly a decade.

🧶 A Lovely Workshop Weekend at Cocoon&me HQ
 

Our Brighton studio was buzzing with colour, laughter, & creativity during last weekend’s duo of workshops - one of our favourite combinations of sessions!
 

🌸 Saturday: Macramé ‘Chita’ Designer Bag Workshop

The ’Chita’ Workshop brought together some fabulous makers, keen to dive into this sculptural macramé project.

• Makers explored knotting techniques to build the iconic ‘Chita’ structure.

• We had both sizes of the bag on the go, giving a choice between a bold statement piece or a more compact everyday version.

• The studio was alive with gorgeous colour palettes!

• As always, we loved seeing how personal each finished bag became based on colour choice, tension, & knotting rhythm.
 

 There’s something magical about watching each Chita bag emerge from a few simple cords - unique to its maker every single time.

🧣 Sunday: Arm Knit Blanket Workshop

Sunday was all about softness, snuggles, & tactile calm. A full table of makers joined us to create our chunky Arm Knit blankets - our most loved workshop for a reason!

• We saw stunning blankets in both medium & small sizes.

• Tassels were a hit again - whether subtle or bold, they added beautiful movement & personality to each blanket.

• Don’t forget if you purchase one of our blanket kits, you can also buy optional tassels for the extra flourish!
 

Both workshops had that special Cocoon&me atmosphere - relaxed, friendly, filled with gentle chats, creative breakthroughs, & those wonderful “I made this!” smiles at the end.
 

If you’d love to join us next time, keep an eye on upcoming dates - these cosy studio weekends are becoming one of our favourite parts of the month. Our next Arm Knit Blanket Workshop at our studio is on Saturday 11th April.
