National Garden Scheme at Pitfield Barn 🌺🌹🌼

One for Your Diary!

We are thrilled to invite you to join Emma & Peter at Pitfield Barn, Hurstpierpoint, for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) open day on the 10th of August.

This day promises to be a delightful experience, offering you the chance to explore the enchanting wildflower fields, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of delicious homemade cake, & contribute to a great cause – the Alzheimer’s Society. This charity holds a special place in our hearts, as Paula’s late mum had Alzheimer’s, & she knows from her many conversations at our workshops that it has touched many of you as well.

Pitfield Barn is passionate about British cut flowers. At this working flower farm, they sow, grow, & harvest seasonal, British cut flowers without chemicals or pesticides. The seedlings are nurtured in peat-free compost, & the flowers are hand-cut to order, depending on the season. On Emma's tours, you can learn about the British flower market, how the garden operates, & their eco-friendly philosophy.

We will have a small stand at the open day featuring our handmade products & kits, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society. Paula will also bring a selection of sketches, etchings, & watercolours created by her mum, Norma Fryer, an artist with a prolific collection of work.

Additionally, we will provide information on our Autumn Workshops at Pitfield Barn, which you can book directly with Paula on the day & enjoy a 20 % discount.

For this open day, you can book your tickets in advance by clicking the button below, or you can simply turn up & pay on the day. Refreshments will be available, with proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society.
