Finger Knitting with Chunky Chenille Yarn

Join us for one of the season’s trendiest & most satisfying craft experiences: a relaxed, hands‑on workshop where Paula guides you through finger knitting your very own jumbo gilet -no tools needed, just your hands & creativity.

This beginner‑friendly session offers a mindful, creative moment to relax & enjoy the joy of making. You’ll work with vegan‑friendly, chunky chenille yarn while learning the essential techniques to build structure, shape, & beautifully finish your gilet.

WHAT YOU’LL MAKE
A softly structured, hand‑crafted knitted gilet designed as an ideal layering piece for all weathers - made extra special because you made it.

Want to make it your own? You can create a unique design by adding a contrast colour, or  pockets for extra comfort & style.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

• Finger‑knitting techniques to construct your jumbo gilet (no tools required).
• How to build structure, shape, & achieve a beautiful finish.

MATERIALS & YARN DETAILS
You’ll use lightweight Jumbo chenille yarn chosen for its warmth & texture.
The yarn is a soft polyester with a cotton feel.
It’s machine washable due to fibre content, but because of the gilet’s construction it’s advisable to handwash.

WHO IT’S FOR

Led by Paula, an experienced former knitwear designer, this workshop is ideal for complete beginners & anyone looking for a mindful, creative break.

This will be a small workshop with a maximum of 5 attendees, so you will receive more one-to one attention.

SIZING
You’ll have the opportunity to try on the medium size garment before you start so you can decide whether to size up or down.
Models in all photos wear the medium size; it can fit anyone from a UK 10 to 18, depending on how you like to wear your garment.
This style has also attracted interest from men & is described as a unisex piece.

COLOURS (subject to availability)
Choose from a range of colours to suit your personal style. You can make either:
• a one‑colour gilet,

OR

• one main colour with a contrast colour.

When booking, you’ll choose your main colour choice & a second choice main colour just in case your main choice is out of stock. Colour highlights can be chosen at the workshop if you wish to add them.

PRICE & PAYMENT

We are offering an introductory price range for this new workshop. Your final price will be dependent upon the size you make & therefore, the amount of yarn you use. At the end of the workshop your cardi will be weighed. For each 100g above or below the medium size, £6 will be added or subtracted.

For example, a Medium sized gilet (shown in photos) is 750g of yarn which is £45.  When booking you pay £36, giving you a final total of £81.

Price includes all materials, your tuition & light refreshments.
