Finger Knitting with Chunky Chenille Yarn

Join us for one of the season’s most on‑trend and satisfying craft workshops. This Jumbo Knit Cardi Workshop is a relaxed, hands‑on experience where you’ll learn how to finger knit your own beautifully soft, chunky cardigan. No needles or tools are required - just your hands, creativity, & a love of making.

This workshop is ideal for complete beginners & anyone looking for a mindful, creative break. You’ll be guided step by step through essential finger‑knitting techniques, learning how to build structure, shape, & achieve a polished finish for your finished cardi.

You’ll work with vegan‑friendly chunky chenille yarn chosen for its warmth, texture, & soft handle. The finished cardigan is softly structured with a relaxed, boxy fit and drop shoulders, making it a versatile layering piece for all seasons. It can be worn as an easy throw‑on cardigan or as a lightweight jacket replacement.

Want to make it your own? You’ll also have the opportunity to personalise your cardi. Choose to make it in one solid colour, or customise your design with stripes, colour blocking, or a simple tipping detail to make it uniquely yours.

Who It Is For

Led by Paula, an experienced former knitwear designer, this workshop is ideal for complete beginners & anyone looking for a mindful, creative break.

This will be a small workshop with a maximum of 5 attendees, so you will receive more one-to one attention.

Yarn & Care Information
The chunky chenille yarn is made from soft polyester with a cotton feel. The fibre content makes the yarn machine washable; however, due to the construction of the cardigan, hand washing is recommended to maintain its shape & finish.

Sizing
Before you begin, you’ll be able to try on a medium‑size garment to help you decide whether to size up or down. The medium size fits a wide range of body shapes, typically from UK size 10 to 18, depending on how relaxed you prefer your fit. All models shown in photos are wearing the medium size.

Colour Options (subject to availability)
A wide range of colours is available to suit your personal style. You may choose to make your cardigan in a single colour or select a main colour with contrasting highlights.

When booking, you’ll choose your main colour choice & a second choice main colour just in case your main choice is out of stock. Colour highlights can be chosen at the workshop if you wish to add them.

Price & Payment

We are offering an introductory price range for this new workshop. Your final price will be dependent upon the size you make & therefore, the amount of yarn you use. At the end of the workshop your cardi will be weighed. For each 100g above or below the medium size, £6 will be added or subtracted.

For example, a Medium sized cardi (shown in photos) is 1200g of yarn which is £72. When booking you pay £54, giving you a final total of £126.

Price includes all materials, your tuition & light refreshments.

Workshop Duration
The workshop lasts approximately 4.5 hours.
