Bohemian, with a thoroughly modern nod to the 1970’s. Cocoon&me is one of my favourite finds of 2017. When I first stumbled on Paula’s cleverly designed bags and super cute plant holders I succumbed to two pieces straight away; a graduated dip-dyed denim handbag complete with fringing and a more neutral roomy shopper. People comment whenever I carry them and I’m pretty sure more obsessional buys will happen once the website launches. Ethical - vegan and infinitely stylish, this modern day hippie is totally smitten.
We LOVE these adorable cocoon shaped herb planters! Our lovely friend Paula has recently launched textile business Cocoon&me, where she hand makes crocheted planters amongst other goodies. Perfect for hanging in the kitchen where you can grab your favorite herbs for cooking, they also have a pot inside them which stores water to keep your herbs nice & fresh. The cocoons themselves are made of Jute, a natural plant fibre.
We have worked closely with Paula/Cocoon&me on several projects & it is always a pleasure. Paula is able to interpret your ideas, make samples & advise on materials meaning that your project has a totally unique look. Having Cocoon&me involved in a project takes the worry out of meeting deadlines & delivers exactly as you imagined
We are constantly amazed at the energy and creativity of Paula from Cocoon&me; so many different and unique designs, plus her wonderful workshops. A total inspiration to any other embryonic business, plus a source of delightful and useful designs for you, your home, or business. We are delighted that Cocoon&me are part of our collection.
I first saw Paula’s work in a local café, and immediately had to find out who had created the amazing array of macramé plant holders and accessories. Paula’s work has a simplicity and beauty that is timeless. It has been a joy watching her expend and grow her business and see more and more of her beautiful pieces evolve from dream state to reality. We immediately were drawn to catch up with Paula, and feature her as one of our “Artists in Focus”. She typifies so many ambitions to turn a passion into a thriving business.Yeah!!! Go Paula!!!
